The project consists of the complete renovation of a 45 m2 apartment on Ion Câmpineanu Street, a lively area in central Bucharest.

The design was developed in close collaboration with the client, a graphic design student, around the idea of a home as a blank canvas where her work can take a central place. The palette is limited to muted shades of white, beige and cream, with natural materials such as white oak, natural stone and textured white paint. Plants, chrome details and black metal lamps act as accents.

The wall between the kitchen and the hallway was removed to create an eating area with a folding table and chairs, stored in the adjacent closet.

The entrance was kept separate from the living room to preserve privacy, and the door to the bedroom was closed, making room for a larger wardrobe on one side and a small library on the other.

The L-shaped sofa visually divides the living room into an entertainment area and a home office with a desk for two. The storage required by her printed assignments was solved with a suspended unit. The kitchen storage and countertop, the bed, the wardrobe, the living room storage and the desk were designed for this apartment and custom made in cooperation with Artezan Mobilier.

The main challenge was to organize a small space in an efficient way, functionally and aesthetically, while keeping the intervention within the available budget.
